School is back in session!

Hello to all! I apologize for not having updated this blog for awhile, but things have been crazy this summer. One Focus has been blessed and we have been traveling every weekend up until this past week. We traveled to Delaware, Tennessee, Kentucky and to other parts of South Carolina this summer. In the coming months we will be singing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Check our calendar for updates and if you would like to book One Focus, give us a call or drop us an e-mail.

We have begun production of our next album. It will include eleven songs and we are very excited for the way everything is shaping up. God is truly blessing. Be watching the website for release dates.

Please continue to pray for Mr. Dorrell, he continues to improve everyday and he is doing great at rehab. We had the honor of having him attend one of our concerts this past month. God is doing a great work in his life.

My cousin Leandra's baby, Titus Phillips, is now out of the incubator and is continuing to gain weight. Pray for his continued improvement.

Chrystal and I would appreciate your prayers for our immediate family. Last Friday morning, our aunt Sandra Shafer, past away suddenly. How quickly we again had our lives turned upside down. We know that our aunt Sandra was saved and that she is now in Heaven, but her family is in desperate need of your prayers right know.

We have now started our school year and from now until June, things will really be extremely busy. Please pray for all the ministries that One Focus is involved in that God will be glorified in all that is said and done.

Brian

Celebrate Independence

As I write this post, I am listening to the fireworks explode outside of my windows even though it is past 11:00 pm. Today we celebrate our freedom, our independence. As Christians, we should be thankful to live in a country where we can freely celebrate this Independence as well as the Independence that we have from the slavery of sin. When Christ died for us, he won our War of Independence. I don't remember the exact date of my Independence, but I do remember the peace that flooded over me as a twelve year old boy after I finally settled in my heart that Jesus Christ was to be my Lord and Savior. That was my day of Independence. Do you remember yours?

This past month has been extremely busy. We started out Father's Day weekend singing for a revival service at Carolina Baptist Church. What a wonderful start to the weekend as we saw one young lady give her life to Christ. We saw another rededicate his life to Christ. On Saturday we were able to sing at Pigeon Roost Church of the Brethren. What a blessing these people were to our hearts. On Father's Day Morning we were at Pine Branch Baptist Church. God really moved on the service and we were so honored to be a part of it. God is so good to us. We ended a great weekend with a concert at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Thank you to all who came out and supported One Focus during this busy weekend.

On June 25, we had the very great honor of singing at Trinity Baptist Church in Spartanburg SC. This was a great honor to us because Trinity was mine and Chrystal's home church when we were kids. Dr. Dennis Carter is the pastor there and a great man of God. He is the pastor of Brenda and Leo Ruppe of The Ruppes. He was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and given three weeks to live. He is a walking miracle. It was wonderful to get to see him and his family as well as many people we had not seen for several years.

This weekend we had a break, but next week we will be hitting the road again through the end of July. Please keep us in prayer as we will be busy. We will be going into the studio at the end of the month to begin work on our sophomore project. Keep this a matter of prayer. Continue lifting up Mr. Dorrell as he continually makes improvements. Titus Phillips is the name of my cousins baby. He had heart surgery and is continuing to gain weight (he is up to 2 pounds now) but he still has a long way to go, so please continue to pray. Pray for Dr. Carter and the cancer that he still has in his body. Also pray for Leo Ruppe as they have also diagnosed him with cancer. Please help us pray for some more meetings in the next few months. We are praying for a full schedule for next year. If you know of someone who would want to have One Focus come and minister for them, please drop us a line.

God bless each and every one of you out there doing the work the Lord has you doing.

Focusing on Christ,

Brian

Busy Busy Busy

Hello to all! It has been a while since I have entered anything into the blog. This summer has been a busy time for all of us. We have been busy singing every single weekend so far this summer and this coming weekend is no exception. On Friday night we will be singing for a revival service at Carolina Baptist Church in Spartanburg. On Saturday night we will be singing at Pigeon Roost Church of the Brethren in Pigeon Roost, NC. ON Father's Day we will be singing in the AM services at Pine Branch Baptist Church. That afternoon we will be going to the Murdock Family reunion. This is the family of Libby's Mom-mom. After the reunion we will be singing a concert at Bear Creek Baptist Church.

This past weekend we sang at Columbia First Freewill Baptist Church. We had a wonderful day sharing homecoming with this great church. After the services Libby and I went down to Chrystal and Will's house for a couple of days where we began working on songs for our upcoming album. Please continue to pray for this as we think we have chosen the place that we are going to do our album. We were also able to spend some time with Mr. Dorrell. He is doing really well, however he still has a long road ahead of him. He was very appreciative of all the prayers that have been offered up for him and he wanted me to ask everyone to continue to pray as he is still very weak.

My cousin Leandra's baby still needs your prayers. He is still doing okay, but please PRAY PRAY PRAY. Thank you so much for your prayers! We love you all.

Focuding on Him,

Brian

Medical Update!!

Hello to all! I know that it has been awhile since I have posted. With the school year coming to an end, I have had a great amount of work to do.

Mr. Dorrell is now home! Praise the Lord, he still is in rehab and has a ways to go, but everyone is extremely glad to see him home. Please continue to pray for his full recovery.

One Focus has been doing a great amount of traveling over the past few weeks and we have been blessed in all of the services that we have been able to participate in. We are also beginning to narrow down our search for a producer to help with our next album. Please continue to pray with us regarding this.

We have another prayer request that is close to our hearts. Mine and Chrystal's cousin Leandra just gave birth to a baby boy. He was born early weighing 1 pound and was 12 inches long. Please pray for their family and this little baby as they have a long road ahead of them. I will update as I receive information.

Thank you for all of the prayers that are being lifted up on behalf of One Focus. If you would be interested in receiving a monthly enewsletter, please email me at brian@onefocustrio.com and we will put you on the mailing list. This is something new that we will be trying to keep those who are praying for us informed of our ministry.

Florence or Bust!!

Well hello again! I know that it has been awhile since my last post, but we were on a mini vacation this past week. We went down to Florence where Chrystal and Will live for a few days. While we were there we were able to sing at Beulah FWB and Bethany FWB. What a blessing to be able to see these dear folks again.

We came home for a few days where Libby and Chrystal were able to speak for a ladies banquet for Dependent Baptist. They did terrific. We then headed back towards Florence to sing at Faith FWB in Darlington for their home coming. Please continue to check back for more updates and please keep up the prayers.

Mr. Dorrell is doing better and is now in rehab. Please continue to pray for his improvement.

Focusing on Him,

Brian

What A Weekend!

First I want to thank those for praying for us during this weekend. We had a wonderful time all weekend and were so excited for the opportunity.

We began the weekend by singing for a combined youth revival hosted by the Goshen Freewill Baptist Youth Group. Everyone had a wonderful time with the singing and the sermon brought by my good friend Rev. Shiloh Hackett really challenged the hearts of the young people. Several decisions were made by the young people that night about following closer to God. What a great time in the Lord!

On Sunday morning we were able to share in song with the members of Goshen Freewill and were able to hear another challenging message from the Word of God delivered by Rev. Hackett. It was a joy to worship with the folks there in the beautiful area of Mt. Holly, N.C.

On Sunday evening we were blessed to sing for a meeting with Evangelist David Ring hosted by the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church in Spartanburg, S.C. What a blessed evening as 35 people made professions in Christ. Thank you to all of the folks there at Fairview for making us feel welcome as always. We love you guys.

Please continue to pray for Mr. Dorrell as he continues to recuperate from his brain surgery. We will be singing in the Florence area this coming weekend. Come and see us if you are in the area!

Brian

Thanks for the prayers!

Hello again! I am happy to report that Mr. Dorrel (Chrystal's father in law) is doing much better now. Today he was able to come out of ICU and into a private room. He still needs your prayer's but he is making great progress. Thank you so much for praying for him and the family during this hard time.

Please be praying for us this weekend as we will be singing in three different places, one of which will be with Bro. David Ring. Pray that God will be able to move during all of these services.

Thanks again for faithful prayers that have gone up on behalf of One Focus.

Focusing on Christ,

Brian
